  3. After we ship your order you will receive another e-mail with the tracking number so that you can check on it if you need to.

  • You are given several shipping options in the Shop.
  • The arrival of your order depends on several variables. If you would like an estimated arrival time, please put that in the notes section and we will attempt to let you know what the shipper estimates to be the time of arrival.  Of course these are never guarantees, but they are usually excellent estimates.
  • Please note: UPS and Federal Express are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes.
  • International Orders are welcome!  We are very experienced in shipping internationally.  These orders typically are best shipped via UPS.  Please make sure to review our International Ordering Information before placing your order.
  • Being centrally located in the US gives us the advantage of being able to ship your order via UPS Ground (the least expensive option with tracking) and still have your package arrive in 1 to 4 business days! (Continental US orders, of course)

Sales Tax

Being located in Florida requires us to collect sales tax from Florida shipments only.  Inter-state and Federal laws are changing; please be aware that for some states, we may be required to begin adding sales tax to orders.  We may or may not be able to give advanced notice of this policy change.

Order Tracking

We will e-mail your tracking number the evening after your order ships. This allows you to check the status of your shipment with the shipper.  If you would like the status of your order and have not received a tracking number, please call one of our Account Executives and they will tell you what you need to know.  Our number is at the top and the bottom of this page.

DV Rack

Digital Video Recorder

See a Larger View

DV Rack's digital recorder is a breakthrough in DV recording that helps make you a better shooter. It gives you lightning fast clip review, saves hours of painful capturing and eliminates the fear of tape dropouts. In video, time is money. Instead of wasting time searching and shuttling tape to check or review shots, you can now jump instantly to any part of any clip and interactively scrub through it. And you won't suffer timecode breaks on tape and head wear from rewinding!

Every videographer has had to choose between living with a bad shot (and praying no one notices) or the embarrassment and expense of a re-shoot. Finally, you can be 100% confident you have the shot - while you're still at the shoot. DV Rack works seamlessly with you, recording and stopping when your camera does. The automatic "Shot Saver" pre-buffer even lets you go back in time and hit the Record button sooner, which can save more than your reputation. Best of all, you can pre-select a native DV format to perfectly match your NLE.

Record to tape and disk at the same time or disk only.

The end of capturing! Clips are ready to edit in standard NLE software.

No delays for tape shuttling to check shots.

"Shot Saver" pre-buffer allows you to go back in time and hit Record before you actually did.

Variable speed replay, fast forward, freeze, frame advance.

User-selected DV formats for native compatibility with NLEs

Slave mode records and stops when your camcorder does.

Add notes and log while you shoot.

SureShot Module

See a Larger View

DV Rack's SureShot camera setup module is an innovative tool that helps you get the most out of the investment you've made in your DV camera. SureShot walks you through a simple four step, wizard-like process to objectively calibrate your camera for the best possible quality in a given environment. It's lightning fast and you don't even need to know anything about waveforms or traditional scopes! SureShot works automatically by using the custom calibration charts specially printed on the camera setup cards included with DV Rack.

As you hold each of the three charts in front of your camera, SureShot gives you immediate feedback helping you adjust your camera and lighting for optimal performance. For example, in Step 1 a real-time meter objectively tells you how well focused your camera is so you can get the maximum possible sharpness in each scene. Step 2 helps you set your camera for maximum dynamic range without going 'over'. This allows you to capture higher quality video by fully utilizing the recording range of the DV format, while avoiding clipping whites or crushing blacks. Step 3 lets you see at a glance how correct your camera's white balance really is so you'll know when to reset manual white balance. With SureShot it takes just seconds to ensure that you're getting the best results possible from your camera.

Timer/Clock Module

See a Larger View

DV Rack's ShotClock timer/clock module features a stopwatch/event timer that counts in video frames and a high visibility time-of-day production clock which can be automatically calibrated to the atomic clock at the U.S. Naval Observatory when connected to the Internet.

Time-of-day clock can be calibrated to atomic clock via internet.

Video timer works in drop frame and non-drop frame modes.

Professional Field Monitor

See a Larger View

You can't make professional video if you can't accurately see the image you're recording. That's why DV Rack's PDM-1410 virtual monitor is the ultimate tool for composing, evaluating and reviewing DV video. Unlike bulky analog reference monitors, this all-digital monitor accepts direct DV input, displaying the actual post-compression image as it's being recorded. In addition to features found in other high-end broadcast field monitors such as underscan, safe area display, letterbox mask and variable aspect ratio (16:9, 2.35 etc), the PDM-1410 introduces an impressive array of video evaluation tools such as freeze, zoom, dual zebra patterns and split. The unique split mode allows you to see a split screen between any pre-recorded clip and live video. This is ideal for matching camera settings between shots or maintaining continuity.

The top pro shooters get great video because they've learned NOT to trust the "flip-out" LCD screens on their DV cameras. With blown-out highlights, oversaturated chroma and drifting colors, those tiny LCD displays are little better than Gameboy screens. Yet, no one wants to pay $900 for a calibrated video display that has to be lugged around. Now you don't have to. By following a simple on-screen guide, in less than 20 seconds DV Rack turns your existing computer display into a broadcast-standard reference monitor. It works by understanding the inaccuracies in how your PC or laptop displays video. It then uses real-time image processing to automatically recalibrate the displayed video to match broadcast standards. Finally, you can see exactly what's going to be recorded on tape.

Color bar generator and blue gun mode for properly calibrating Brightness, Chroma, Phase, and Contrast.

Native DV monitor shows your video post-compression exactly as it will be recorded.

Split screen mode allows live video to be compared with pre-recorded clips to match levels or continuity.

User-adjustable Safe Area Indicator with center cross-hair.

User-adjustable dual Zebra modes provide visual feedback. Plus unique "black" zebras to check shadow areas.

Underscan switch displays entire active picture area including details most camcorder viewfinders can't see.

                    User-adjustable aspect ratio from 1.00 to 2.50 (including 16:9).

                    Letterbox mask mode for widescreen.

Zoom into live video to check any part of the picture.

User-adjustable "rule-of-thirds" overlay indicators to assist with shot composition.

                    Freeze video for further examination.

Full On-Screen Display (OSD) with numeric readouts for all settings.

DV Grabber

See a Larger View

The DV Grabber module captures and saves high resolution video stills direct from live DV video or DVR 1000 clips. It's ideal for grabbing reference frames for client approval or storyboards. Frames are saved in standard JPG, BMP or PNG format or to the Windows clipboard for direct emailing or use in a graphics program.

One-Click high resolution still image capture.

Capture to PC hard drive or WIndows clipboard.

                    Automatically increments base filename.

Supports JPG, BMP, and PNG file formats

DV Waveform Monitor & Vectorscope

See a Larger View

Pros hate shooting "blind". How white is that white? How saturated is the background? What is the correct iris level on my camera? The only way to know for sure is objective quality monitoring and measurement. Yet we're left guessing because lugging bulky scopes that weigh five times more than a DV camera isn't practical. DV Rack's WV-150 Waveform Monitor and SC-680 Vectorscope feature industry-standard monitoring functions as well as direct DV signal input. This means you're able to monitor the actual post-compression signal as it will be recorded. Something traditional waveform and vectorscope monitors connected via composite or S-Video can't do. And the WV-150 works with DV Rack's split screen mode so you can view two clips at the same time or see live video compared to a previous clip. Because DV Rack is modular you can even open more than one scope at a time with each set to display a different mode.

Native DV monitoring shows post-compression signal.

                    Luma, Parade, Y-only, R-Y, B-Y modes.

Full screen or sweepable line mode.

Interactive zoom function magnifies scope display.

Adjust gain, trace illumination, graticule intensity, scale, and position.

Audio Spectrum Analyzer

See a Larger View

Spectrum monitoring is a vital part of recording high quality audio. Audio that is too thin, tinny, or boomy is difficult to fix in editing but easy to correct on location simply by adjusting microphone placement or orientation. DV Rack's Audio Spectrum Analyzer provides signal information beyond what can be heard with headphones. Its precise visual representation enables subtle adjustments during shooting that can result in dramatic improvements to audio quality.

                    32-band real-time audio spectrum analysis.

                    Stereo and mono modes.

Trailing peak indicators with hold function.

                    Freeze analysis at any time.

Scrolling waveform display in peak or wave mode.

Video Analyzer

See a Larger View

DV Rack's Spectra 60 Video Analyzer is a video monitoring and evaluation tool designed for today's digital imaging professional. It monitors on a pixel by pixel basis as opposed to the full screen and scanline modes of traditional scopes. Moving a crosshair over the video displayed on the monitor provides precise readouts in any of five color spaces, including RGB, HSV and CMYK.

Pixel accurate luminance and chroma sampling.

Supports five color spaces: RGB, YUV, HSV, HSL, and CMYK.

Numeric readouts and visual bar meters with training indicators

Automated Quality Monitor

See a Larger View

Today's production schedules simply don't allow the time required to rewind and check every frame of footage while still on location or on the set. DV Rack's DV-QM takes quality monitoring to the next level by evaluating every frame of video and audio for you while you shoot. It's like having a virtual engineer at your side watching scopes for problems. The DV-QM then visually marks the location of potential problems on the DVR 1000 clip display. This allows you to review and assess any problem areas with one click. From a brief voice "pop" that wasn't audible on headphones to a flash of reflected light from a passing vehicle, the DV-QM can save the day (and your reputation).

Automated real-time quality monitoring of video and audio.

Set your own limits and levels for quality alerts.

Intuitive visual display of alerts directly on clips in the DVR 1000.

Video too bright or too dark filtered by area of screen and duration.

Alert on detection of audio clipping, pops and clicks, hum and buzz, and overall voice level.
